The month of Ramadan is considered the month of blessings and forgiveness. The emphasis of the month is on fasting during daylight hours. It is also about strengthening the relationship with Allah, praying to him, and worshipping his greatness. The month of Ramadan, in its entirety, is a uniquely prominent time in Islam. Although there is a meaningful night, that is Lailat al Qadr.
Lailat al Qadr is considered the Holiest night of the Islamic calendar. The first five verses of the Holy Quran were descended to the prophet (sallahu-Alayhi wa Sallam) on the night of Al Qadr. It is one of the final ten nights of Ramadan. It is among the odd nights.
It is a night of great commemoration and complete submission to Allah, and better than a thousand months.
By Worshipping Allah on this night, your fasting increases in reward. On this night, one act of kindness provides the blessings of 1000 months. Exercising these acts on the Holiest night and dedicating your day to worship will extend your taqwa. As part of the Five Pillars of Islam, make sure you recite the Holy Quran and engage in its teachings by helping those most in need. Laylat-al-Qadr offers many rewards to those who perform charitable acts. Apart from this, there is a Hadith, “The Prophet (sallahu-Alayhi wa Sallam) said. “Whoever stands (in prayer)” and Expects rewards from Allah will have his previous sin forgiven.
There is an abundance of angels due to the plentitude of the blessings, they are more numerous than the pebbles on the Earth. They descend with the descent of the blessings as they come down when the Quran is recited, and surround the circles of Zikr.
It is recommended to supplicate often during all times, especially during Ramadan, in the last ten nights, and during the odd nights of it even more so. It is recommended that one say the following supplication a lot:
“O, Allah! Verily, you are the Oft-Pardoning, You love to pardon, so pardon me.”
This is due to what Imam Ahmad recorded from Ayesha (r.z that she said “O Messenger of Allah! If I find the Night of Al-Qadr, what I should say?” He (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) replied,
Say: “O Allah! Verily You are the Oft-Pardoning, You love to pardon, so pardon me.”
May Allah grant us the ability to Worship Him and ask for forgiveness and repent over misdemeanors and peccadillo and acceptance of the good deed that we have done so far in this blessed month
